Addressing the gathering BSP, MP from Phulpur, Kapil Muni Karwariya said, “The Congress
led Central government is an anti-farmers government and provide no assistance to the state government in undertaking development works.”
He also flayed the remarks of UPCC president, Dr Rita Bahuguna Joshi against CM Mayawati and said that such comments were unwarranted.
Taking a swipe at the Central government, zonal co-ordinator, Dr Vijay Pratap Singh said that the Centre should immediately withdraw the price hike on petrol and diesel. However, it is heartening to note that the state government has not imposed any new taxes on petrol and diesel.
He added that the Congress party has always suppressed the Dalits and cheated Ambedkar by sabotaging his attempts to enter the parliament. Similarly, the Congress also stalled the efforts of BSP supremo Mayawati to establish herself in the central politics.
Warning Congress office bearers and workers to refrain from making any derogatory remarks against BSP supremo, city president, BSP, Harshvardhan Bajpai said that BSP workers are prepared for any sacrifice to safeguard the honour of BSP president. Others present included party spokesperson, Moharram Ali, Deep Chandra Gautam , Jaya Srivastava and Dinesh Sonkar.
Meanwhile, women activists of BSP under the leadership of Shalu Mehrotra took out a ‘padayatrla’ from Ambedkar statue near High Court and torched an effigy of the Prime Minister and Congress president Sonia Gandhi. Later, they reached the collectorate and joined the party leaders sitting on a dharna.
